Last night was my first time at K-OZ and I loved it. Great atmosphere, food was delicious! I had the lamb/beef scotch egg! So good!!
Lastly, let me tell you about Shane Brown!...what a terrific bartender!! Super friendly and not to say he makes a bad ass Moscow Mule!! Will be back soon! -

I was on a walk exploring the neighborhood where I was staying with a few places in mind. I saw the word "brewery" and had to stop in. K-OZ is a small restaurant with a single nanobrewery set up right inside the door. It looked nice with a larger seating area that was closed, as well as high-tops and the bar seating.
I saw an advertisement for happy hour and mostly just wanted to try their own beer. That day they only had one on to try, their Oz Ale. The bartender was nice, but did not know how to pour beer. To start, it poured extremely foamy, which is most likely due to the keg not being cold enough (or a potential gas problem). The bartender continued overpouring wasting at least 1-2 beers worth in foam, the whole time leaving the faucet in the beer, which is a sanitation issue.
When I finally got my sticky glass, the beer was just okay. It was better than I would've thought for the draft issues, but for any beer lover, this isn't worth coming out of your way for. It was cheap however. Also, people enjoying happy hour at the other tables seemed to be enjoying their food and company. -

Cool industrial vibe, super friendly staff, decent selection of beers on tap, and full bar. Would not recommend the food, unless you are looking for drunk eating food, or are just super hungry- my chicken sandwich was much chewier than you would expect. Also, I sat at the bar talking to the bartender-super friendly guy- as he refilled and cleaned up the ketchup bottles in front of me. Some restaurant secrets should be just that. Secret.

Good coffee Bad customer service.
My mom and I came with my baby. All the tables except the group table were open. Each table had ONE person at the table and were 4 tops. The waitress told us to sit at the bar. I told her that we have a baby and cannot sit at high top bars. And the high chair would be UNDER the table. She refused to let us sit at the group table. Said a group MAY come in. You should seat the people who come solo at the bar and leave 4 tops for bigger groups. She refused to accommodate and we left. We took our business else where. -

This place was a nice find near the hotel I was staying. I ate there twice with the happy hour menu one day and then the burger on another. Beyond that don't expect too much Hawaiian food as the menu and feel portrays I asked and it seems like one of the owners just liked the ambiance but do serve a few dishes.
